congratulations...

I love movies.

When I'm traveling, which is often, one of my favorite things is getting back to my hotel room, ordering room service and a movie. No matter how long the day has been or how tired I am watching a movie recharges everything. I even love previews.

Here 's the geek part....movies are just magic for me. I don't like them all, but I appreciate them and what it takes to get one made. I am equally a geek about the people that work on them and not just the ones that get all the press. People that make their living crafting films are a rare breed and the Academy Awards represent a ginormous celebration of this awesome art form.

No snarky comments or cynicism here. There's plenty of that on all sorts of entertainment shows, blogs and magazines. I have an unabashed love for this celebration of one of my favorite art forms.

A room that houses, Meryl Streep, Jeff Bridges, Quentin Tarantino, The Coen Brothers, Katherine Bigelow, Sandra Bullock, George Clooney, Kathy Bates, Mo'Nique, James Cameron, Sarah Jessica Parker, Tina Fey, Tom Ford, Colin Firth, Kate Winslet, Nick Hornby, Morgan Freeman, Christopher Waltz, Lee Daniels, etc., can only garner goose bump moments for me!

I could go on and on but I will save you from further examples of my movie dorkiness.

Many congrats to all in the Kodak Theater that work in the medium of film and to all those that work in film without the recognition.
