I just love this chair!

I know. I know. It's completely uncool to talk about something you had a hand in designing in such a self congratulatory way. I should be a bit more reserved and humble about it, BUT I can't.

Actually, I can't even take all the credit. I have to give a lot of it to Tom, my manufacturing partner. He made it possible to be a large sitting chair, engineered in a way that doesn't cost as much as a chair like this normally would. It sells for $299.99!

This is the part where I sound like a proud parent....they are even better looking in person! You should see how big and strong they are.

I'll be quiet now. It's probably a good thing I don't have kids. I'd be THAT Dad. You know the one--going around with pictures and videos boring everyone to tears.

it's raining...

Growing up in Chicago and living in NYC after college, I like everyone else in that part of the world, I got used to planning my day around what the weather was like...Do I dress in layers? Bring an umbrella? Shove some gloves and a scarf in my pocket just in case? Well, once I moved to Los Angeles I was a bit baffled to find out that I didn't really have to think about that.

Currently, we have some rain. A nice change. Also, it's Super Bowl weekend. In honor of those two events, I share with you my new Bogart chair in a comfortable cord and in a sleek black or coffee brown Renu (basically recycled) leather.

My favorite thing about this chair is that it's comfortable without being ginormous and bulky in scale. Probably not the chair for you if you're an awesomely large football player, but for me, a mere mortal---very cozy. Add some snacks, some of the grey, cold and rainy L.A. weather and I'm ready!

FYI: Ignore the goofy pic of me standing next/above the chair at the top. I'm using it so you can get a better sense of scale, otherwise...it's got a bit of the dorkiness factor to it.

Doing the photo shoot for the new roll out of the upholstered line of angelo:HOME was literally a family reunion of sorts.

Two of my friends from "Rate My Space" were there to help out, Ruth my fun, smart and oh so creative design coordinator and Tracy, a makeup artist who also irons curtains, moves furniture and is just an all around great person to hang with. Not to mention having my spectacular brother, Christos, there to help with the heavy lifting along with my friend and awesome photographer Inta. Gerda, her twin sister and also a close friend, was my uber talented prop master as well as doing general organizing and wrangling of everything and anything we needed. Tom, my trusty manufacturing partner and now great friend did everything that had to be done and he even did it without injuring himself this time---AND of course Ed...My publicist, manager, videographer, furniture mover, best friend, the list goes on and on.

This undertaking couldn't have been accomplished without these people. They make me look good! THANK YOU kids. You make the finished product look easy.

I will share more photography with you in the days and weeks to come.
